The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has allocated $210 million to Sarasota County Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR), known as Resilient SRQ, to aid the long-term recovery from hurricanes Debby, Helene and Milton for low-to-moderate income individuals.

 

Resilient SRQ has multiple programs, one of those being the Multifamily Affordable Housing Program. This program has a total of $30 million allocated to address the critical shortage of affordable housing pre-disaster and further exacerbated by the 2024 storms.
